This book was born out of a desire to stimulate discussion within the region about the future of the three Maritime provinces. The collection opens with an historical overview. A number of essays discuss the issues of transfer payments while others look at past efforts to promote interprovincial cooperation in the region. The book is written in a highly accessible style because we want to reach Maritimers from all walks of life and encourage them to take a keen interest in their economic future.
